Plot Synopsis

Once a feared lawman, the legendary Bat Masterson trades his sheriff's badge for a pen to chase stories instead of outlaws. Each week, the gunslinger-turned-newspaperman travels the frontier to chronicle the wildest stories of the Old West. Masterson tracks down eyewitnesses who share their vivid memories of Wild Bill Hickok, Stagecoach Mary, Butch Cassidy, Bass Reeves, and other remarkable characters of the Old West. As they tell their stories, a bygone age of hardship and lawlessness is brought to life when fearless lawmen rode tall in the saddle and vicious criminals fought to escape justice.

The sophomore season of WILD WEST CHRONICLES premiered with back-to-back new episodes on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 8-9pm ET on Inspiration Network. The Season 2 opener, "The Bone War," reveals that it's not gold inspiring a rush of treasure hunters to flood the windblown bluffs of Wyoming; it's bones. After stumbling upon a strange fossil, a man is caught in the crossfire of rival paleontologists warring over a trove of dinosaur bones.

Season 3 of WILD WEST CHRONICLES premiered on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Inspiration Network. New episodes air Thursdays at 10pm ET through June 29. In the season opener, "Bat Masterson to the Rescue," former lawman Bat Masterson finds himself powerless to help an old friend whose brother has been falsely imprisoned; an overreaching sheriff is intent on seeing the brother hang, so Bat hatches a plan to bust him out of jail.
