Plot Synopsis
Inspired by Melissa de la Cruz's novel, "Witches of East End." Two sisters, wild-child bartender Freya and shy librarian Ingrid, lead uneventful lives in Long Island's coastal town of East Haven until Freya becomes engaged and their mother Joanna, a free-spirited artist, informs them that they are the family's next generation of powerful and immortal witches. Even though she's recently engaged to the man of her dreams, wealthy playboy Dash Gardiner, Freya finds herself inexplicably drawn to Dash's troubled and enigmatic brother, Killian, leading to bizarre occurrences in her life. Meanwhile, Joanna's long-estranged sister, Wendy, shows up unexpectedly with a warning that could change the their fates forever, forcing Joanna to reveal to her daughters that they are immortal witches who possess great untapped powers. With their idyllic small-town life now turned upside down, and a formidable and ancient enemy intent on ending the Beauchamp family line, Freya and Ingrid struggle to accept their true potential, but they must act quickly to save their family and themselves. WITCHES OF EAST END returned for its second season on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime. In Season 2, with the portal to Asgard open, what comes through will forever change the lives of the Beauchamps. Darkness surrounds East End as a new stranger (new cast member Christian Cooke) arrives. Joanna is still weak with poison in her blood as the Beauchamps search desperately for a cure, while Victor helps her fight what seems to be a losing battle with her argentum poisoning. With the death of Penelope, Killian and Dash's warlock powers return. Plus, Ingrid develops a dangerous sleep walking habit while Freya has visions of Killian in danger.
