Plot Synopsis
Created by series star Catherine Reitman, who serves as showrunner, WORKIN' MOMS is a half-hour comedy series that centers on four mom friends who experience the realities of life after giving birth -- from asking the grandparents to babysit to dealing with postpartum depression. The series opens with Kate returning to her advertising agency after maternity leave and discovering two people hired in her absence. Frankie experiences postpartum disorder. Then, Kate juggles date night, pumping and a competitive co-worker. Erotic fiction and IT collide in Jenny's workplace. Anne's daughter is out of control. WORKIN' MOMS had its U.S. premiere on Friday, February 22, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 13-episode first season.
The 13-episode second season of WORKIN' MOMS had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. Kate, Frankie, Anne and, now, Ian grow up alongside their kids as they juggle toddlers, aging, work-life balance and tough relationship issues. The season opens with an episode taking place in 2005, where a young, ambitious Kate attends her best friend Anne's expensive wedding. That night kicks off a series of life-changing events. Then, back in the present for the rest of the season, Kate's forced hiatus from Gaze grates at her working-mom soul. Anne researches a vasectomy for Lionel. Frankie loves the women's wellness center.
On Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Season 3 of WORKIN' MOMS had its U.S. premiere, as Netflix released all 13 episodes of the new season. As Kate adjusts to her new normal, Anne redirects her anger, Frankie hits her professional stride and Jenny tries to be a better mom. In the season opener, "Birth Daze," after Nathan's infidelity, Kate moves forward with a brand-new apartment, a brand-new business, a brand-new assistant -- and a brand-new baby. Then, in need of cash for her fledgling business, Kate considers bending her morals. Meanwhile, at Frankie Coyne Realty, the market's blowing up.
Season 4 of WORKIN' MOMS had its U.S. premiere on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire eight-episode season. Big changes are in the air as the moms stand up for their children, their partners, their businesses -- and more importantly, themselves. In the season opener, "Charade," Kate faces her friends -- and their judgement -- in the wake of a big decision. With Alice in "activity jail," Anne pitches a parenting book.
The 10-episode fifth season of WORKIN' MOMS made its U.S. debut on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, as the entire new season dropped on Netflix. Season 5 brings fresh complications for Kate, Frankie and Jenny -- plus a big move for Anne, who longs for the life she left behind. In the season opener, "The Carlsons Move to Calgary," Kate and the gang fly out to visit Anne, only to discover she's made some questionable new friends. Alice meets a cute boy on her first day at school.
WORKIN' MOMS returned for its sixth season on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, as Netflix released the entire 13-episode new season. Work-life balance?!? What's that? Kate, Anne, Jenny, Sloane and Val are clocking in overtime handling big problems at the office and at home. In the season opener, "Kate Fosters," a surprising houseguest shakes up Kate's surroundings and throws off her A game at work. Anne moves back to Toronto.

The seventh and final season of WORKIN' MOMS debuted on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 on Netflix, as the streaming service released all 13 episodes of the new season. Picking up where Season 6 left off, Season 7 sees the women confront demons from their past in order to move forward into their future. Motherhood, relationships, and career choices will all be put to the test, as they come to terms with who they once were and where they're each headed. As we bid farewell to Kate, Anne, Sloane, Jenny, and Val, it's up to each of them to decide the impact they'll leave with their work, the traits they'll pass on to their children, and ultimately, how much more sh*t they're willing to take as workin' moms.
