Plot Synopsis

THE ZIMMERN LIST is a half-hour series that follows Andrew Zimmern as he takes a culinary tour across the United States. In each 30-minute episode, Andrew visits a different American city, explores that town's unique eateries, reveals the people responsible for these local delicacies, and reflects on food that he loves. On Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 9-10pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered two episodes of THE ZIMMERN LIST, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the night's first new episode (9pm), Andrew takes a walk down memory lane as he visits his favorite haunts in Portland, Maine. He enjoys pastries at his dad's favorite bakery, blows a single day's calories eating poutine and digs into juicy pork prepared over a wood-fired grill. Then, in the night's second new episode (9:30pm), Andrew goes deeper into Boston than the usual stops in the historic city. He takes in a game at Fenway Park, enjoys old-school sausages and cheese in the Italian North End, cools down with a lemon slush and dines on innovative tapas. Six months later, THE ZIMMERN LIST moved to Travel Channel for its official series premiere from 9-10pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018:

"Los Angeles" (9pm): Andrew heads to Los Angeles to try new creations from the city's experimental young chefs, while he makes sure not to forget about classics such as the brioche breakfast sandwich at Eggslut and Middle Eastern fare at Kismet.

"Austin" (9:30pm): Andrew heads to Austin, TX, home to some outrageously good food. He tries mouthwatering BBQ brisket, a fresh take on Mexican food and stops by a food trailer park where he tries a poke bowl.

Season 2 of THE ZIMMERN LIST premiered on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10-11am ET/PT, as Travel Channel debuted back-to-back episodes on Saturday morning:

"Memphis" (10am): Andrew visits Memphis and makes stops at some of the city's most beloved barbecue joints. Then, he drops by one of America's most iconic soul food restaurants and visits a joint where Italian and Southern comfort food are combined.

"Queens" (10:30am): Andrew takes us around the world as he eats his way through Queens, NY. He digs into a monster Mexican sandwich, samples some of New York's best Egyptian cuisine and feasts on Argentine meats and authentic Taiwanese fare.
