Plot Synopsis

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: 1984, the ninth installment of the AHS franchise, takes place in the summer of 1984, when five friends escape Los Angeles to work as counselors at Camp Redwood in rural California. As they adjust to their new jobs, they quickly learn that the only thing scarier than campfire tales is the past coming to haunt you -- and possibly the masked, knife-wielding slasher, Mr. Jingles, who escaped from a nearby psychiatric facility. At the center of the group is Brooke, a blonde ingenue, whose new friends convince her to work at the camp, despite her traumatic past experience. The group of friends also includes: Brooke's boyfriend, Chet; aerobics enthusiast Montana; a brash aerobics instructor, Xavier; and fun-loving Ray. The rest of the camp staff is comprised of: camp director Margaret Booth; nurse Rita; and chef Bertie, who is a former camper.
