Plot Synopsis

This latest installment of AMERICAN REHAB follows Shalina Joy -- a Newark educator, veteran house flipper, and single mother of two -- as she tackles her largest renovation yet: restoring a 6000-sq. ft. 19th-century Victorian mansion to its former glory. AMERICAN REHAB: RESTORING VICTORIA showcases Shalina's work on the three-story home, highlighting the property's 100-year history as she strives to restore as many of the original features as possible. The series opens with Shalina contending with rotting floors, water damage and missing joists. Then, she tangles with bad renovations and a beastly brick fireplace in a dark, dreary and out-of-date living room.
