Plot Synopsis

DALLAS CAKES is a half-hour reality series that features bakeries from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as bakers create outrageous cakes. On Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:30pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered the series pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "The Biggest Boots Ever Baked," larger-than-life cowboy boots have one baker stepping out of her comfort zone to wow a rancher for his surprise birthday party. Another baker goes to great pains to sculpt the perfect fondant-free buttercream Mexican dress cake. A third baker creates a scuba tank groom's cake for an ocean-themed wedding. Featured bakers include: Jamie Holder (Creme De La Creme Cake Company), Roshi Muns (Society Bakery), and Bronwen Weber (Frosted Art Bakery & Studio). Five months later -- on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:30pm -- Food Network debuted the official series premiere. In the series opener, "Dragons and Belt Buckles, Oh My!," a groom's cake with a GAME OF THRONES theme isn't complete without a sculpted ice dragon and an intricately carved Iron Throne. The ultimate block party celebrates Chinese New Year with a cake so over the top it literally smokes. Then, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Fort Worth Stockyards Championship Rodeo, 24 layers of cowboy coffee cake are turned into the world's largest belt buckle, and the real question is whether it will hold up to being delivered right to the arena floor.
