Plot Synopsis

Retired FBI criminal profiler Candice DeLong sits face to face with the actual women who appeared in episodes of DEADLY WOMEN, featuring intimate interviews between DeLong and these perpetrators from behind prison walls. DeLong interprets the interviews by using her extensive profiling skills, refined by trailing terrorists, going undercover within gangs and hunting for the Unabomber. This series' four-part Season 1 aired during Investigation Discovery's annual "Black Widows Week," which took place on Thanksgiving and the holiday's long weekend. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 all premiered on Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving. FACING EVIL returned for its fourth season on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, as Investigation Discovery broadcast two new episodes back to back. In the season opener, After 11 years of marriage, Laurie Kellogg snapped, and convinced four teenagers from her neighborhood to kill her husband, Bruce, a man who was twice her age when she first moved in with him as a teenager. In the night's second episode, Tyra Whitney killed her daughter's boyfriend, LeMarcus Bell, with a hammer, being charged by the State with murder.
On Friday, June 12, 2015 from 10-11pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the fifth season of FACING EVIL, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener (10pm), "Lifting the Mask," the body of Patrice LaBlanc surfaces in a Texas Lake in 1986. She's been stabbed 39 times. Her boyfriend Cliff Youens, also known as drag queen Brandi West is found guilty. For the first time, Cliff confesses his crime to Candice DeLong, and the public. In the night's second episode (10:30pm), "The Perfect Victim," New Year's Eve 1975 ends a terrible year for Sarah 'Cindy' White, but it's the beginning of the rest of her life behind bars. She set fire to a house and killed a family of six. Candice DeLong unravels years of abuse, but can it ever justify murder?
