Plot Synopsis

THE FIRST 48: EXTREME KILLS features updates on cases from THE FIRST 48, including all-new interviews with the detectives involved with the case. On Monday, June 8, 2015 from 8pm-Midnight ET/PT, A&E premiered four back-to-back episodes, but had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. The updated stories for the night of the series premiere include:

Hale Storm: In Louisville, a sleeping family awakens to a barrage of bullets from a machine gun, leaving two young boys injured and a teenager dead. With no eyewitnesses, Detective Mickey Cohn must resort to old-fashioned detective work to solve one of the most brazen acts of violence he has ever seen.

Deadly Morning: In Cleveland, a young mother walking alone to work is viscously murdered and dumped in an abandoned house. As the community reels in shock at the horrific crime, Detectives Nate Sowa and Ray Diaz make a surprising discovery about the killer.

Murder in Pleasant Grove: In Dallas, a dismembered body is found burned in an open field. With no leads on the victim's identity, detectives turn to the public for help in solving this baffling case.

Devil Inside/Rattlesnake: In Tucson, Det. John Dorer and his team investigate the gruesome murder of a 58-year-old woman found naked and dead under a highway overpass--a satanic symbol near the body is written in blood. When detectives learn about a similar case, they believe they may have a serial killer on their hands and quickly enlist the help of the entire Tucson PD to track down the killer before he strikes again. And in Birmingham, a community lives in fear after a teenager is senselessly shot in his apartment complex. Det. Eric Torrence and his team head out to the victim's neighborhood to help convince witnesses to speak, so they can bring the killer to justice and put the community back at ease.
