Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Jamie Theakston, FORBIDDEN HISTORY uncovers the truth behind great myths, conspiracy theories, ancient treasures, lost civilizations and war time secrets. In each one-hour episode Jamie explores a different story, including: The Lost Treasures of the Templars, the iconic stolen treasure from the Middle Ages; The Third Secret of Fatima, the last of three prophecies allegedly given by the Virgin Mary; The Bloodline of Christ, investigating the contentious theory that Jesus was married with children and his bloodline lives on today; and many more of history's mysteries. AHC: American Heroes Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, beginning with "Top Secret Nazi UFOs," an episode for the show's second season in the UK, during which Jamie investigates the curious claim that the Nazis were engaged in building flying saucers during WWII.

Season 3 of FORBIDDEN HISTORY premiered on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on AHC: American Heroes Channel. The season opener takes viewers on a quest to unravel one of the greatest Biblical mysteries -- the disappearance of the Ark of the Covenant, believed to be the throne of God himself, and the possibilities of its potential current whereabouts. Subsequent episodes explore these topics: Did Adolf Hitler die in a bunker under Berlin at the end of the WWII or did he escape to Argentina with his wife where they lived out the rest of their lives in the foothills of Patagonia?; the mysterious story of one of the world's most notorious and intriguing prisoners, The Man in the Iron Mask; the legend of King Arthur and his knights of the round table; Satanism, a worldwide phenomenon that is viewed by some as a religion -- but to others, it is a dangerous and subversive cult; and claims of a real vampire burial and examine accounts of sightings, and today's modern vampires shed light into the motive and practices behind this subculture.

FORBIDDEN HISTORY returned for its sixth season on Sunday, April 5, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT on Science Channel. In the two-hour season opener, "Mystery of Yamashita's Treasure," legend has it that Japanese soldiers buried a vast collection of valuable relics and gold in the jungle during the last days of World War II; expert treasure hunters follow new leads in search of this long-lost plunder.
