Plot Synopsis

LOCKUP goes inside the Santa Rita Jail in Alameda County, CA, where this program documents what really happens every day inside this prison. MSNBC originally planned to debut this series on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, but delayed the premiere by one week to cover breaking news of the Asiana Airlines crash landing at San Francisco International Airport. On July 13, 2013, MSNBC again delayed the series debut -- this time to cover the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial -- pushing the series premiere into the early hours of Sunday, July 14, 2013. One week later, on Saturday, July 23, MSNBC showed the first three episodes of this program from 9pm-Midnight so that viewers could watch them during a typical time period.
