Plot Synopsis

Combining computer graphics with expert analysis of fossils and similar modern creatures, each episode is a detective story that reveals how these mysterious creatures functioned and behaved, what they looked like, how they fought, what they ate...and what ate them. The six monsters in this series are: Spinosaurus, a carnivore twice the size of T. Rex with a six-foot-high sail, long crocodilian skull, and massive claws; Megalania, a giant lizard with a poisonous bite and a mouth full of huge dagger like teeth; Terror Bird, a giant bird that bashed in its victims' brains with its mighty beak; Acrocanthasaurus, a dinosaur whose powerful death grip and scissor-like bite could kill prey 10 times its size; Mosasaur, a fearsome marine monster with an extra row of teeth on the roof of its mouth and that dined on giant sharks and plesiosaurs; and Bear Dog, a creature that combined the best lethal weapons of today's lion, wolf, and grizzly bear.
