Plot Synopsis

In each 15-minute installment of this animated series, Dan Zembrosky receives a strange package from an evil alien planet, and after he opens his new gift, he and his best friends, Amanda and Troll, must keep the package's contents out of the hands of the evil Copernicus while experiencing the hilarious unintended consequences as Dan experiments with the new gadget. Dan lives in the town of Iron Bay, where he suddenly started receiving strange, cryptic packages from an evil alien planet. Of course, Dan is curious and can't resist opening the packages to try out the latest high-tech product, but nothing ever goes as planned. What kind of gifts does this vain hero get? Well, gadgets you've never seen before, like: a pair of underpants that turns him into a genius; a helmet that lets animals talk; an alien telescope that jeopardizes Earth; a device that causes hair to grow on anything -- or anyone -- he touches; a chick magnet that attracts every woman to him, causing a huge scrum with Dan in the middle; helium muscles that make Dan's ego and body go sky high; and many more out-of-this-world devices. While Dan goes through life, Amanda is his voice of reason while Troll encourages every bad behavior. Amanda, a scientific firecracker, wants to solve the mystery of her missing Uncle Rory, uncover a boatload of aliens in disguise, and not get into trouble. Meanwhile, Troll, a resourceful optimist, just wants to have fun. Even though Dan just wants to use these packages to get on the news, get more handsome, and get out of trouble, these three best friends must prevent the gadgets from getting into the hands of Dr. Corvis Copernicus, whose grand plan is to take over Earth and clear the way for a complete repopulation of the planet by Planet X aliens. Copernicus is joined by CaliMary, a hybrid of a Hoolock gibbon and a squid, which he created in his high-tech lair. Finally, there's CuRT, the glitchy and nervous robotic assistant, which keeps all the packages organized using his own incomprehensible filing system.
