Plot Synopsis

SOUTHERN BARBECUED EVERYTHING is a half-hour series that celebrates barbecue and the Americans who make it. Each 30-minute episode features BBQ dishes from four or five restaurants, including: the Little Dooey in Starkville, MS; Carson's in Chicago; Charles Vergos' Rendezvous in Memphis; a BBQ restaurant that hires ex-cons and homeless; Sweatman's in Holly Hill, SC; Baby Blues BBQ in Venice Beach, CA; the Shed in Ocean Springs, MS; Helena's BBQ in Honolulu; the famous Salt Lick in Austin, TX; the Skylight Inn in Ayden, NC; Squeal BBQ in New Orleans for Squeal Pie; Nancy Lee's Pig Heaven in New York City; Arthur Bryant's restaurant in Kansas City; Fat Matt's Rib Shack in Atlanta; Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem; Gates BBQ in Kansas City; Pappy's Restaurant in St. Louis; Brick Pit in Mobile, AL; Famous Dave's BBQ in Minneapolis; Interstate BBQ in Memphis for BBQ spaghetti; the Hitching Post in Buellton, CA; New Zion Church BBQ in Huntsville, TX; the Country Tavern in Shreveport, LA; 17th Street Bar & Grill in Murphysboro, IL; Ron's Ribs in Philadelphia; and more. GAC aired six back-to-back episodes on Labor Day 2014 (Monday, September 1, 2014) from 4-7pm ET/PT.
