Plot Synopsis

STREET FOOD: LATIN AMERICA, the STREET FOOD installment, travels to six countries in Latin America to explore the vibrant street food culture of Oaxaca, Mexico; Salvador, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Lima, Peru; Bogota, Colombia; and La Paz, Bolivia. Each half-hour episode highlights the stories of perseverance and culture that bring life to each country's cuisine. On Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire six-episode first season:

"Buenos Aires, Argentina": Argentines are passionate about street food, be it choripans or fugazzeta, but Pato Rodriguez's cheesy tortilla has even acclaimed chefs raving.

"Salvador, Brazil": Hearty feijoada. Spicy moqueca. Beachside pirao. Bahia's food is awash with both African and Portuguese influences -- and lots and lots of dende oil.

"Oaxaca, Mexico": Toasted tlayudas and vinegary piedrazos embody the rich biodiversity and profound flavors of Oaxaca. Meet Dona Vale, who makes peerless memelas.

"Lima, Peru": Joyfully diverse yet singular in flavor, Lima's food culture lives for honeyed picarones, savory anticuchos and one chef's Nikkei-inspired ceviche.

"Bogota, Colombia": Luz Dary and the women at La Perseverancia food market reinvent classic Colombian dishes such as arepas and ajiaco, reinvigorating local cuisine.

"La Paz, Bolivia": Rellenos queen Dona Emi and other cholitas fight to be seen while upholding traditional bites like anise-flavored bunuelos and fiery chola sandwiches.
