Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Josh Elkin, each 30-minute episode features three bakers facing off in two elimination challenges, as they vie for the $10,000 prize in a competition that celebrates all types of decadent and delicious desserts -- from cakes to pies and cupcakes to doughnuts. In the first round, a speedy elimination round, they must whip up a mouth-watering dessert that incorporates a mystery ingredient such as mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, cheese curds and beets. A rotating panel of judges decides which two bakers advance to the next round, where they must create a confection that embodies a special theme ranging from baseball, to beach parties, to aliens, and to amusement parks. In the end, only one baker is crowned champion, winning bragging rights and $10,000.
