Plot Synopsis

CYPHER REPLAY is a two-part special featuring some of the hottest acts from cyphers at past BET HIP HOP AWARDS. This program also includes commentary from rappers who participated as well as never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes footage. Each 30-minute episode features performances and interviews with top emcees, including: Wiz Khalifah; B.O.B.; Fabolous; Mos Def; Kendrick Lamar; Black Thought; Kayne West; Nicki Minaj; Common; Wiz Khalifah; Big Sean; Slaughterhouse. Since 2007, the BET HIP HOP AWARDS has included a cypher, an improvised freestyle rap with a group of emcees performing a cappella or over beatboxing. That first BET HIP HOP AWARDS' cypher featured Wyclef, Twista, Lil Mama, Dizzee Rascal, Phonte, Stat Quo, Kardinal Offishall, Joell Ortiz, Flo, and Cassidy.
