Plot Synopsis

TRUE CRIME STORY: LOOK INTO MY EYES is a four-part documentary that unfurls the bizarre story of Dr. George Kenney and his fall from grace after 10 years as a beloved principal at North Port High School in Florida where he practiced hypnosis on students. In 2011, three teenage students died after a series of suspicious events. When a local media story questioned his involvement, the case exploded into global news. The series investigates events leading up to these untimely deaths and the tragic aftermath as victims' families, eyewitnesses, experts, and people involved attempt to unpack what really happened. The four episodes are:

"Absorb Attention" (Thursday, June 15, 2023): At North Port High School in Florida, three students die within months of each other; as the community learns more, they discover a common thread: all three students were hynotized by their principal, Dr. George Kenney, not long before they died.

"Bypass the Critical" (Thursday, June 22, 2023): Dr. George Kenney begins to reveal his side of the story; as details emerge about the deaths and Marcus, Wesley and Brittany's parents speak out, an investigation into Kenney's hypnosis practice begins; the North Port community grows suspicious.

"Activate the Unconscious" (Thursday, June 29, 2023): The press catches wind of the story and it captures headlines worldwide; Dr. Kenney is asked to leave North Port High, and as the criminal trial heats up, the community is split on his culpability; a student comes forward with a new perspective.

"The Outcome" (Thursday, July 6, 2023): Pressure mounts against the school board to take accountability; Dr. Kenney leaves North Port for what seems like the final time; the community grapples with guilt and grief; Stephen offers an intimate look into Kenney's hypnosis practice.
