Comic-Con 2011 Preview & Highlights: TV Comedies

With Comic-Con starting later this week, it's time to take a look at some of the most anticipated TV comedy panels taking place during the four-day pop-culture phenomenon. Turns out you can get your comedy fix if you hang out in a different room each day: Room 6A on Thursday; the Hilton Indigo Ballroom on Friday; Ballroom 20 on Saturday; and Hall H on Sunday.

Series: PSYCH


Time/Location of Panel: 12:30-1:30pm in Ballroom 20


About the Panel: Musical guests, tap dancing, exclusive videos, the PSYCH panel has it all. James Roday, Dule Hill, Maggie Lawson, Tim Omundson, Kirsten Nelson, Corbin Bernsen and executive producers Chris Henze, Kelly Kulchak and Steve Franks will share hilarious stories and show comic-con exclusive footage from the show's sixth season.

 
 

Series: NAPOLEON DYNAMITE


Time/Location of Panel: 2-3pm in Room 7AB


About the Panel: Original cast members of the cult film -- Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, Jon Gries, Tina Majorino, Sandy Martin and Diedrich Bader -- reprise their roles in a new animated series. The entire team, with executive producer Mike Scully, will give fans a sneak peek at the show and conduct a Q&A session.

 
 

Series: ARCHER


Time/Location of Panel: 4-5pm in the Hilton Indigo Ballroom


About the Panel: Creator Adam Reed and the voice cast of this demented spy comedy -- including, H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash and George Coe -- will discuss working on the unique FX series and answer questions about upcoming episodes.

 
 

Series: BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD


Time/Location of Panel: 5-6pm in Room 6A


About the Panel: Creator Mike Judge will preview new footage, as the unpredictable duo returns to TV.

 
 

Series: WILFRED


Time/Location of Panel: 6:15-7:30pm in Room 6A


About the Panel: Elijah Wood and Jason Gann, along with co-stars and executive producers, talk about transferring the Australian comedy to America.

About the Panel: Always a popular panel, THE BIG BANG THEORY lets nerds feel like the cool kids. Cast members Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar will once again attend, along with newcomers Melissa Rauch, Mayim Bialik and executive producers Bill Prady, Steve Molaro and Chuck Lorre. Prady is encouraging fans to show up in costume.

 
 

Series: BOB'S BURGERS


Time/Location of Panel: 3-4pm in Room 23ABC


About the Panel: Producers and cast, including Loren Bouchard, Jim Dauterive, H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal, preview season two of the animated FOX comedy about the crazy family behind a fast food restaurant.

About the Panel: TV's most unique comedy returns to discuss what's in store for the students of Greendale Community College.” Cast and producers, including Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, Danny Pudi, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Ken Jeong, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Neil Goldman, Garrett Donovan, Russ Krasnoff and Dan Harmon, will discuss the comedy's themed episodes and conduct a hilarious Q&A.

About the Panel: Fans will be lining up early to celebrate the final season of the popular NBC spy comedy. Zachary Levi, Joshua Gomez, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Ryan McPartlin, Sarah Lancaster and producer Chris Fedak will be on hand for the show's farewell comic-con appearance.

About the Panel: In celebration of the show's 23rd season and 500th episode, series producers Matt Groening, Al Jean, Rob Lazebnik, Matt Warburton, Mike Anderson and Tom Gammill discuss what's next for the record-breaking hit.

 
 

Series: FAMILY GUY

About the Panel: Seth Green, Alex Borstein, Adam West and executive producers Mark Hentemann, Steve Callaghan and Kara Vallow will screen the new episode “Stewie Goes for a Drive,” then answer a few fan questions. 2-2:35 p.m. Ballroom 20.
